Out A Window was written during the COVID-19 shutdown of March/April 2020. My marimba is placed right in front of a window that I found myself staring out and daydreaming more often than I should. During these times, I would noodle around and improvise which is how the opening riff of this solo was created. I am grateful to this music for being my creative outlet during a time that was so foreign and unknown. I hope it brings you some joy as well!

This piece focuses on building the dexterity of various intervals and performing them as double stops and alternating permutations. Make sure to keep your hands relaxed as you reach the wider intervals and always play with an open sound!
